Ranchero Rubbed Rib Eye Steak

Ranchero Steak Rub

Ingredients

  • ¼ cp. Ground Espresso Coffee, ground
  • ¼ cp. Ancho Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tbsp. Spanish Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp. Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry Oregano 
  • 2 Tbsp. Kosher Sea Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Ground Black Pepper


Method
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.
 
To Assemble
Rub rib eye steak with Ranchero rub over top surface.
Brush steak with olive oil. 
Place steak on very hot grill or into a very hot cast iron pan and sear until golden brown.
Turn steak over and cook to desired doneness.
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
