Auburn, AL (September 7, 2018) -- Auburn University and Aramark, Auburn’s new concessionaire, are partnering with Bo Jackson to bring his line of signature food products to Auburn football. Bo’s seasoned pure beef burger will be served at the new “Bo Jackson Grill” concession stand, located inside Jordan-Hare Stadium (section 32).
Fans can get their first taste of the Bo Burger at the Tigers home opener on Saturday, September 8th. Jordan-Hare Stadium is the first collegiate sports venue to serve Bo’s Burgers.
“Auburn will always hold a special place in my heart and that makes this partnership even more meaningful,” said Jackson. “I have many fond memories of Auburn, so when Aramark approached me about adding Bo’s Burgers to the menu it was an opportunity I couldn’t resist. Tiger fans are among the most passionate in college sports and I hope they enjoy this burger as much as their football.”
Bo Jackson’s love of food dates back to his youth. Since retiring from professional sports, Bo has become a successful businessman and entrepreneur, including parlaying this passion into Bo Jackson Signature Foods.
This is the first in a 10-part exclusive interview series with Bo Jackson, where the entrepreneur and legendary star athlete shares stories of his childhood, what motivates him in his business career, the nature of today’s younger generation, how he balances work, family and his spare time, his philosophy on achieving success and much more. Stay tuned for the next part of our series coming this Wednesday, October 3.
“Life is what you put into it, life is what you get out of it and life will be full of challenges. I look at challenges, from a religious stand-point, as the way God puts a speed bump in your road of life and it’s up to you to slow down and get over that speed bump.” Vincent "Bo" Jackson
Starting in October, Bo Jackson & Bonamar will begin a tour of 15 US cities where, Bo will ambush chefs as a way of promoting his "Signature Sideliners & Bo's Burgers". He’ll be equipped with “Bo Jackson’s Legendary Playbook,” which includes a series of recipes dedicated to seafood called “Bo’s Big Catch”, and a film crew, which will make it possible to replay each encounter, said Kristie Sams, VEJ's executive vice president.
